a pink coat…

Monday, May 8th, 2006

Can't seem to get away from the music underground.
Love love her pink coat.

Renegade Countdown:
I got my packet this week - oh so excited - got a map and everything.
I finished a few penguins.
Cut fabric for the long birds.
Designed a new bird that might make it's debut here in the next couple of weeks.
Machine sewed owls.

It was so beautiful this weekend and I love waking up and walking to a new breakfast place. Just chilly enough to walk close to the Boy and soak up some of his heat.

In a couple of weeks I am heading to Belize for a family vacation…any must dos?

painting for friday #23

Malcolm

I am doing better at taking the week to paint instead of a day, finally back in the rhythm.  I am totally impressed by Jenny & Mati doing a painting a day.

(I am ready for my show, but haven't heard back yet about the dates, my soon is probably different from her soon. Just glad that I am ready to hang when I get the go ahead! As soon as I know more I will share!)

On my other plate I am frantically sewing for renegade. I'll have to take some photos of my in process piles. I have asked this before, but ideas of how much I should have? I am having trouble sleeping again because I am worried about this. We were slow at work though, so I headed home early and slept the night through with a little help from valerian.

sometimes…

…sometimes when I get off the train I purposely walk behind someone that is moving really slow to remind myself that I don't have to always rush…

little statue…

Monday, May 1st, 2006

Everyday I pass this statue (is it catholics that have the saint statues in front of their homes?). She is along the street next to the train, so I am sure it is not the ideal apartment. There is something fantastic and quite sad about her. Maybe I love her more than the other garish saint statues because her paint is wearing away. I took this after we had a bit of rain, so I love the collection of leaves at her base like she is mother nature.
