{I totally believed in fairies.}
I guess they would have to otherwise you wouldn't have things like LOTR or dungeons & dragons.
{which in extreme cases lead to this}
the super extreme fans {the trekkies & ringers} totally fasinate me.

as I was walking back to the house this morning, the squirrels were out in force and not so sure about me walking through the park and not on the designated human paths. so they tried to intimidate me. This little guy kept coming at me standing tall, while another squirrel shook the tree branches above me. I moved on.

i mean do people born in march say they are march babies - doesn't quite flow, but do they?

Right now I can't get much any painting done - even thought the ideas & there - there are a couple of different series that I am really excited about tackling. Until I get the time I wanted to give myself another project. A photo project with my fancy new camera. {much thanks to my grandparents and the little one's grandparents for the funds!}

Since it is summer {well almost anyways} what could be better than a summer project. So hopefully once a week {you can cross your fingers, but don't hold your breath} I'll have a photo that for me says summer. Maybe I'll talk about it, maybe now so much, but that's my goal. And I'm excited.

The it's it is quite possibly my most favorite treat. Its is an ice cream cookie with a chocolate covering. The originals have vanilla ice cream, but I am pretty sure they have mint chip & chocolate now too.

I remember having them for the first time as a child at a picnic day for the university in Davis. I remember it being sunny and warm and being in a big park. And the it's it brings it back. I am pretty sure I didn't have them again until I was an adult. I want to say I was visiting Kacey in San Francisco {the home of the it's it} when I saw it in a little corner bodega. And everytime I visit her I have one, usually as we are walking back to the car from some sort of meal. I have been looking for a source in la since I moved here. A couple of weeks ago I found them. Good thing I am burning lots of calories making the breastmilk. Because they really are as good as I remember.

& have you seen sandra's knights? 

I love breakfast for dinner.
Maybe because it is a little bit breaking the rules,
a little bit comfort.
regardless it is one of my favorite things.
we had buckwheat waffles and scrambled eggs.
{he loves me}

they have come before with the ring & also with the ribbons, can't believe they just come to the park and sling it up into the tree.

right now my life is on a three hour repeat, which makes the days fly by.
can't believe he is almost two months old.
seems crazy.
seems like he should be younger.
seems like he should at the same time be older.
went out to the store in the car by myself with the little one for the first time.
it was scary and he started to cry as soon as we got in the store, so I almost gave up,
but then we went back to the car had a little more milk and tried again. success.

i have so many ideas for new painting series that I play out in my head as I spend my day
feeding, pumping, watching him sleep, but not when I change him {gotta keep my wits about me then}.
paintings of robots and fairy tales…hopefully in the middle of june I'll get a chance to see which
ones make their way onto canvas.

you give 'kisses' after being burped because you are looking for more food

you are trying to get the hang of your hands in your mouth

you calm down from having your diaper changed if you 'air' out for a bit
{although that can be dangerous…}

your fingernails are so awesome in the miniature form

your hair is changing from black to brown

the Boy is beyond wonderful as a dad

you like to be jiggled rather than rocked 

no matter how much I did or didn't sleep as soon as the sun comes out it is as if my body resets

your grandma pert taught us the old school rubdown

you are so little right now, it is strange to think one day you'll be a man, and before that a teenage boy

your lips are still perfect

I still haven't mastered the napping thing

the Boy thinks it'd be handy to have six arms like Vishnu, can't say he'd be wrong

sometimes you hold a finger as you eat

the 0 -3 month clothes finally look like they are about to fit you 

you always smile as you fall asleep

{sorry about the multiple updates, I kept getting side tracked and thought I was just saving it & not publishing it} 

you do slow tai chi like moves with your arms

your eyes aren't quite brown & yet not quite grey 

you have ears that feel like petals

your bottom lip quivers in such an unbearably cute way when you cry, its almost a shame to stop you

a wet diaper is about the worst thing

you are at the same time new to us, yet we feel like you've always been in our lives

you laugh when you sleep 

couldn't have signed up for a better partner than The Boy. How easily he has slid into the roll of a dad.

watching the The Boy teaches me how to love more, his heart is so big

your cry is unbelievably loud at 3 o'clock in the morning

I am not sure how I can feel so alive on so little food and sleep
