beautiful pictures! so rich and warm. i love coney island so much. strange how it’s becoming sort of gentrified. But luckily they are leaving a lot of the old cheesy carnival kind of stuff. And knowing you’re less likely to get mugged is definitely a plus.

They ARE magical! I love them. Coney Island is one of my favorite places, so full of ghosts. You captured it so well!

Wow your photos are so saturated in color and mood.I was once at Coney Island many many years ago. As a sulky teenager I was dragged thre with my family to take my grandfather there for a hot dog(probably the last he ever had) I was so moody and so not into the place. Boy, did I miss out ( on all levels) thanks for enlighting me with another glimpse.

julie - its not to gentrified yet, although they do have the fancy subway stop, still feels otherworldly
