…little girls…

I have been working on these little girls. And I would like some feedback. I like them just one color body and hair, with just paint on the eyes and mouth. This one is about two inches tall. And she fits snugly in the palm of your hand. What could be improved? Any suggestions or ideas? quite.jpg

    hey wendy,

are they all the same one color?? are they all different girls?? i think they she is really sweet - and sad [but in a good way].

    what a great photo too!

have you thought about making the bottom look a tad bit more like shoulders?? that would be my one suggestion!

gosh… i really like it as it is. and i like how you say it fits in your hand… what is the material?
i wonder how they would look just as faces or like half faces coming out from some that might hang on the wall. does that make sense? like you have a frame and in the middle coming out from some kind of surface is the face. i don’t even know if that works for your medium or anything but for some reason i am really drawn in by the face… i’d like to see the faces used other ways too! just thoughts…. mav

So lovely! I love your new style of girl. I like the idea of her being green or blue, but the flesh color did photograph so well on the dark background. Beautiful!

I love how there is only color on the eyes and lips and necklace. I love the fleshy color… it makes her painted features stand out.

I do like these, too, and the very sparing use of color. I agree with the above comment about the shoulders–even if you don’t make actual shoulders, I’d like to see the base maybe less rounded?

I really like the mysteriousness and sadness of the face.
