I used to be a jock.
the smell of wet grass in the evening
shoes squeeking on a gym floor
naps on the track
pratice everyday after school
the roar of the crowd, who am I kidding, I was on the girls team, there was no roar, and the crowd was just some folks in the stands
I played everything, at least everything I could.
soccer I started young and will always be my favorite, I had to go out of my way to play in high school, since we didn't have a girls team (and my mom wouldn't let me play with the boys) basketball yeah, I'm short, but I was quick and scrappy
tennis Not good at all
volleyball I was alright
track & field I hated running, but my coaches said I had a pretty stride.
