painting for friday #25

that seems fair
I would say that the clouds were inspired by my renewed love for Flash Gordon, but alas that would be a lie. Really the clouds were inspired by a stormy sky we were painting for a job, only I really wanted to use that phthalo blue that I am so fond of.
And here is the close-up of my sad (maybe mute - the writing half of the la power couple has written a really sad story for her) girl.

i can feel myself sinking into these clouds, but must confess to being a bit haunted by the “sad girl.” wow, wendy - your paintings really strike me!

This one scares me. I had a reoccuring dream as a child about gravity reversing and flying off into space - and this one definitely taps into that. It’s a beautiful, disturbed series you have going for young Lavinia.

ky - believe you me, she haunts me too!
dayan - lavina has had a tough life, what does your dream mean? I sort of love it the idea of no gravity, but I love it in a wow that is strange dream sort of way!
jessica - I really want a pair with ruffles
lisa - the birds (the boy says they are dragons) are just sort of squishy with the paint - they don’t really have true form.
johanna - thank you - I still think it is strange that we don’t get to see each other’s daily work.
michelle - thank you!
