My first memories of this was at my grandmothers house (your great grandmother). The elk are probably 60 years old and Grandpa Bill had tried to "plaster" the broken legs. The sleigh adapted from a carriage that was what they called a radio lamp and I am going to guess it is 75 to 80 years old. This family tradition has made Christmas memories for your grandfather and me...glad to see it works on you too! They are not horses but elk made out to be reindeer.
