I love the Gulf, but only when it is flat, I hate to wrestle with waves, I'm a float kinda gal. That is why I love to swim in a pool, it's always calm, and by the way I inch in ever so slowly!! I do think it must be hard to get used to our warm waters if you're not from here, but for me it's the reverse. I would try swimming in New England or elsewhere, but I don't think I'd like it, LOL.
